There is so much information out there to arm yourself with now, and used the right way you can scare the other side of the table instead of having them scare you. Educate yourself with a quick Google search, a good Realtor, and a scan of the newspaper. Ask questions – the big questions. Don’t be afraid to ask for things you never thought you would get. Closing costs paid? No problem! Extended home warranty included? Why not! Home Inspection paid for by the seller? Maybe!

Today’s sellers are so concerned with selling their home since the market is so saturated with houses for sale just like the one they’re selling. I’m not saying that the seller is willing to do anything to make the sale, but they might just be willing to go somewhere they wouldn’t have considered going back when it was more of a “seller’s market”. Like the old saying goes – “you never know ‘til you try!” And you don’t. More often than not, the seller hasn’t even considered the question that you’re asking, so ask away!
